Manzanita NW is a wine bar and winery tasting room in NW Portland's Slabtown neighborhood. We serve the wines of Manzanita, the winery on the Oregon coast, together with a rotating selection of local Oregon and Washington wines — about twenty bottles at any time, ranging from delicate Pinot Noirs to crisp whites, sparkling, rosé, and bold reds such as Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Syrah.
Manzanita NW started from a straightforward idea: carry the coastal winery's small-batch wines into the city and give Portland a relaxed spot to enjoy them. Owner and winemaker Mark Proden sources fruit from Oregon and Washington vineyards — the Willamette Valley, Columbia Gorge, Columbia Valley, Rogue, and Applegate Valley — and ferments it in small lots. He's the one sorting fruit at harvest, and the results end up in your glass at the tasting room.
You'll find us at the base of the Carson North Building, one short block from New Seasons and Breakside Brewery. We don't take phone calls — simply stop in, grab a stool, and taste for yourself.
Small batches, big taste. We firmly believe small-batch ferments deliver higher quality. Every wine we pour shows that — produced in limited quantities, with care for the fruit and the place it grew.
Local first. Our grapes are grown in Oregon and Washington vineyards, and our beer and cider come from the Pacific Northwest. We're proud to pour what the region makes.
Come as you are. No reservations and no fuss — seating is first come, first served. Whether you're a longtime collector or simply wine-curious, we have a seat and a glass waiting.
Our address is 2141 NW Savier Street, Suite 105, Portland, Oregon. We're open every day from 2:30 to 9 pm. For event rentals or any questions, send us an email — we don't have a phone, but we reply quickly.
